    About the Lions

Lions Club International is composed of over 1 million members worldwide in 46,000 clubs, making us the world's LARGEST service club organization. We serve in many capacities in our local, national, and global communities:

Vision: One of our forefront causes. Lions are known for making an impact on the eyes--and lives--of hundreds of millions of people. We provide vision screenings, fund programs, build clinics, and (most famous in our community) collect gently used eyeglasses.

Diabetes: We raise awareness for this 8th-leading global cause of death. We provide treatments, screenings, camps, and recreational programs.

Hunger: We help distribute food, stock food banks, and lead food drives to aid part of nearly one billion people suffering from hunger on Earth.

Environment: Planting trees, painting Gazebos, recycling, providing clean water: the Lions Club is concerned about the world around us and is focused on maintaining its beauty, biodiversity, and balance for generations to come.
